Membership

Can we share a membership? 

Currently, our membership pricing is per person. Because our pricing is lower than industry average and we offer day passes for $25/day, memberships cannot be shared unless you are a Private Office Member. Those memberships each come with two seats. 

What if I don’t think I’ll come that often?

Sounds like Day Passes are your best bet. They are $25/day and you can purchase them here.

Can I try before I buy?

Yes! We offer a Free Day Pass for your first day and you can stay as little or as long as you would like. You can sign up for that here. 

What does membership come with? 

Aside from skyrocketing productivity and lots of new friends? Tons! You can see all of our amenities here. 

What if I need to cancel?

We’ll be sad to see you go. You can request cancellation in your member account here. Memberships are pro-rated at the front end, meaning that if you sign up on the 15th, you’ll pay for half of your first month. When you cancel, memberships conclude at the end of the month, so keep that in mind when you’re thinking about moving on. 

Do memberships auto-renew? 

Yes, they do. You will be charged monthly until and unless you cancel. 

Can I use your address for my business? 

Yes! Sign up for our Local Business Membership here, and use our address for your Google My Business Page, to have mail sent, etc. 

Can I bring my dog? 

We welcome all (well-behaved canines), but we do require a pet deposit for them. You can find and pay for that here. 

Can I bring my kids? 

Technically, no. We love well-behaved children generally, but anyone 18 and up can and should have their own membership if they’re working from the space. We also know that life happens, but keep in mind this is an office space, and disruptions to the community need to be kept at a minimum. 

Can I get a private office? 

Yes! We still have a few available, starting at $600/month. You can check the latest availability and schedule a tour of the new space by emailing contact@joinworkhorse.com. 

What are your hours? 

The building is open 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. After a brief orientation, Hot Desk members and above may have 24/7 access. If you are not a member (for example, if you are hosting a weekend event) and would like to access the space outside of our regular hours, please contact us to discuss your options. 

At the space

Can I use the monitors? 

Yes! Unless a monitor is on a desk with a RESERVED sign, they are communal and first come, first serve. 

Is that half and half/yogurt/hot sauce in the fridge communal?

No. The only thing that’s communal in the fridge is the pitcher of water. It looks like a fancy Brita. If you find the owner(s) of those other items and they say yes, sure, use away. We provide the space for you to work and a few drinks on tap. You provide your little luxuries. 

Where do I park? 

You can purchase a monthly parking spot for $150 here. If you’re okay moving your car every 3ish hours (it gets the blood flowing!), there is ample street parking around the building. 

Can I bring my bike? 

Please do. There is a bike rack in the parking garage. If you enter through the front door, you have to take the elevator down and then come back up to WH. You can also bring the bike into the space with you if you like to look at it while you work. 

How do I book the conference room?

Whether you’re a member or not, you book the conference room here. Non-members are charged $50/hour. Members get two hours of conference room time per month to use as needed. These hours do not rollover. Additional hours are $25/hour. 

What do I do with my dishes? 

Put them in the dishwasher, please and thank you. Dishwasher seems full? Wash your dish and put it in the drying rack. 

Events

I want to book your space for an event. What’s the process for that? 

Fill out our form online and we’ll build a custom quote for you. Keep in mind, all events are after hours (6 p.m. onward) or on weekends. 

About The Owners

Lew Estabrook and Larry Maurer 

Lew and Larry built their careers in sports medicine and met through their shared interest in helping athletes. They built a business partnership that brought them to Edmonds in the mid-2010s through their purchase of the Waterworks Building, inside of which Workhorse now operates. 

Lew Estabrook has been in practice in the Kirkland area for 30 years and has built his large practice on using chiropractic care on a short-term basis stressing self-help techniques. You can read more about him on his practices’ website here. 

Larry Maurer, DPM, is a podiatric specialist in sports medicine and pediatric care at Washington Foot & Ankle Sports Medicine in Kirkland, Washington. You can read more about his practice here. Dr. Maurer is a photographer for the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders, for wireimage.com as an NFL photographer, and most recently for An Edmonds Kind of 4th 2021. The imagery of workhorses at Workhorse and on the website are all images Larry took himself!
